Seattle Community Open Band Contra Dance

Gift of Grace Lutheran - 2102 N 40th, Seattle (Wallingford Neighborhood).
Potluck 5PM, Dancing 6:00-8:30PM
Cost: $5 per person, $10 per family

Seattle Community Contra Dance - an open-band contra dance, featuring an open mic for callers, preceded by a potluck supper (please bring a dish to share. It's a supportive place to dance, call, and make music - beginners welcome! The band and the callers' open mic are led and hosted by a different favorite local musician and caller each month.

The dances will be held on the following dates:

  • October 9 - Brad Reynolds leads the band, Joe Michaels hosts the callers.

  • November 13- A special benefit for the NW Folklife Festival! Phil & Vivian Williams lead the band; Luther Black and Mike Richardson host the callers.

  • December 11 - Scotty Leach leads the band, David Kaynor hosts the callers. The Contra crafters display wares for your admiration and shopping pleasure.

  • January 8 - Craig Shaw & Eileen O'Conner lead the band; Marianne Tatom Letts hosts the callers

  • February 12 -Stuart William leads the band, Sherry Nevins hosts the callers
